Homeowners and owners of rental properties have the opportunity to learn about the cost-savings of energy from the sun during the San Diego Solar Experience, a one-day event with seminars and home tours, on Saturday, February 11.
The event will feature seminars covering the latest advancements in solar power and home energy storage, including information on costs, incentives and financing options presented by experts from the Center for Sustainable Energy, Climate Action Campaign and Sullivan Solar Power. Those who attend the seminars in Chula Vista, Rancho Bernardo and Carlsbad will be welcomed into neighboring solar-powered homes to speak with homeowners about their experience of going solar.
The solar homes can be viewed at any time between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the seminars set for 10 a.m. at High Tech High in Chula Vista, 12 p.m. at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego and 2 p.m. at El Camino Creek Elementary School in Carlsbad. Locations of the homes will be provided to those who register for the seminars.
