Managing Buildings Better with Benchmarking
These workshops will help you better manage energy consumption and gain greater insight into prioritizing energy audits and retrofits using the industry-leading benchmarking tool, ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®.
By learning how to measure and monitor your building’s energy and water use, you will be prepared to comply with new California benchmarking regulations, such as Assembly Bill 802. Although specifics are not final, it’s expected that AB 802 will require owners of commercial, mixed-use and multifamily buildings larger than 50,000 square feet to report benchmarking metrics publicly on an annual basis using Portfolio Manager.
We also will introduce the Benchmarking Coach program that provides no-cost, one-on-one technical support to owners and operators of commercial, multifamily and public buildings in San Diego County who want to improve building performance. The program is provided by the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) on behalf of the San Diego Regional Energy Partnership.
A deeper dive into using the Portfolio Manager platform to set up properties and meters, track building consumption and generate reports on key benchmarking metrics. Using a test property, a CSE Benchmarking Coach will demonstrate:
- Adding a property
- Entering property use details
- Adding a meter
- Entering meter consumption data
- Generating a report
Don't forget to register for Benchmarking 101, the first part of this benchmarking workshop series.
