Understanding Virtual Net Metering: A Contractor Training

Registration is closed for this event

Please join us for this contractor training covering Virtual Net Metering for the multifamily sector.

Special thanks goes out to GRID Alternatives for hosting this event at their Oakland headquarters.

Virtual Net Metering is a utility tariff available to multitenant, multimetered buildings in California’s large IOU territories.

We'll cover...

  •  NEM2.0: An overview of Virtual Net Metering in PG&E territory
  • Common barriers and considerations for further deployment
  • The variances between low-income projects versus market-rate projects
  • PG&E application and interconnection process
  • Online resources & contractor toolkits
  • How to get involved
  • Q&A

As Administrators of the Department of Energy funded Solar Market Pathways Virtual Net Metering Market Development Project, CSE's goals for this workshop are to raise awareness and understanding of the VNEM tariff, empower contractors with ongoing support and online resources, expand solar access to tenants and renters, and enable more multifamily solar installations in the PG&E service territory.

Registration is highly encouraged. If the registration capacity is reached, you will be placed on a waitlist. We are unable to accept walk-ins due to room capacity limitations. We will host another workshop if there are waitlisted contractors.

Lunch will be provided for registered attendees.
