Chiropractic & Acupuncture

American Specialty Health Plan

  • CCSE has contracted directly with American Specialty Health Plan (ASHP) to provide chiropractic and acupuncture coverage for all its employees who are enrolled in the medical plan.
  • If your chiropractor is contracted with (ASHP), your Co-Pay is only $10 per visit.
  • You are eligible for a maximum of 20 visits per year.
  • No referral is required from a primary care physician.

CCSE covers 100% of the employee premium and 50% of the dependent premium.

Life Insurance

The Principal Group

1 x annual earnings.

1 x annual earnings. Maximum benefit of $50,000. You are eligible for Group Term Life if you are an active, full-time employee working at least 30 hours per week.

CCSE pays 100% company paid.

Long Term Disability Insurance

The Principal Group

The Principal LTD Insurance program is designed to replace a portion of your income when you cannot work on a full-time basis because of injury or illness.

  • Benefits begin after you have been disabled for three months.
  • Your Benefit equals 60 percent of your monthly pre-disability earnings up to a maximum of $6,000 per month.
  • You will receive this benefit as long as you qualify as disabled or reach your Social Security Normal Retirement Age.
CCSE pays 100% of this benefit.

Will Preparation Services

Available at no cost to employees covered by Principal Life Insurance Company’s group term life insurance. Will Preparation Services can be used to create legal documents such as a Will, Living Will, Healthcare Power of Attorney and Financial Power of Attorney for an employee and their spouse.icon Principal Will Preparation Services

Short Term Disability Insurance

The Principal Group

The Principal STD Insurance program is designed to replace a portion of your income when you cannot work on a full-time basis because of injury or illness.

  • Benefits begin on the 8th day after an employee misses work due to illness or injury unrelated to the employee’s occupation.
  • Your benefit equals 60 percent of your monthly pre-disability earnings, up to a maximum of $1,500 per week.
  • In California, we have State Disability Income (SDI) that is our base benefit. This new STD plan will increase your SDI benefit from 55 percent to 60 percent, up to $1,500 per week, which enhances our SDI benefit.

CCSE pays 100% of this benefit.

AD&D Insurance

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance pays a benefit equal to your group term life insurance amount when loss occurs within 365 days of an accident.

Principal pays the full benefit when you lose:

  • Your life
  • Both hands
  • Both Feet
  • Sight of both eyes
  • One foot and sight of one eye
  • One hand and one foot
  • One hand and sight of one eye

This benefit is 100% company paid.

State Disability Insurance

California State Disability Insurance - Employment Development Department (EDD)
The SDI program provides benefits to workers who are unable to work due to non work-related illness, injury, or pregnancy. Although work-connected disabilities are covered by Workers' Compensation laws, SDI benefits may also be paid for work-related illnesses or injuries under certain circumstances prescribed by law.

Unemployment Insurance

The Unemployment Insurance Program, commonly referred to as UI, provides weekly unemployment insurance payments for workers who lose their job through no fault of their own. Eligibility for benefits requires that the claimant be able to work, be seeking work, and be willing to accept a suitable job.

Family Medical Leave

CCSE provides Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) benefits to eligible employees. The benefit allows qualified employees to take up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave, per rolling calendar year, for the birth or adoption of a child, for the care of a child, spouse or parent with a serious health condition, for the employee’s own serious health condition, or for the care of a covered military service member. Alternative Work Schedule Program

9/80 schedule translates into a total of 9 days of work in an 80-hour period. 8 of the days are 9 hours and 1 day is 8 hours. Employees on this schedule would receive 1 day off per 80-hour pay period.

New employees are not eligible for this benefit until 6-month probationary period is completed. Subject to discretion of supervisor.

Flex Time

Flex Time allows employees to report to work within a range of time rather than a set time.

Retirement

403(b) Retirement Savings Plan through TIAA-CREF
CCSE contributes 6% into employee managed accounts. Contributions are 100% vested.

New employees are not eligible for this benefit until 6-month probationary period is completed.

Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan through TIAA-CREF
Voluntary plan where a portion of employee’s compensation is applied on a before-tax basis to an annuity contract owned by the Employee. Contributions are 100% vested.
