CCSE is currently working on additional ways to be even more green. Here are some examples of future projects the Green Team is putting together:
- Upgrading the office building to be LEED Certified.
- Installing a Solar Grove in the building’s parking lot to reduce the use of fossil fuels.
- Reducing hallway lighting to meet only minimum fire code standards will allow to use as little energy as possible.
- Always looking for ways to reduce internal paper use to move towards becoming a paperless office.
- Replacing energy-efficient, LED exit signs with glow-in-the-dark exit signs that do not require energy.
- Installing a timer on all coffee pots ensure electricity isn't being used unnecessarily.
- Retrofitting the public bathrooms with sustainable fixtures to reduce energy and water usage and to use as display bathrooms.
