The San Diego Workforce Partnership is funding a career transition for program for professional level job seekers. The Career Transition and Development for Professionals program is designed to assist college-educated job seekers repackage their skills to meet current and emerging employment opportunities. The program is offered at each of the three public universities in San Diego: CSU San Marcos, SDSU, and UC San Diego.
The basic requirements for eligibility for the Career Transition and Development program are:
- Must have a four year college degree (or higher)
- Must have five years (or more) professional level experience
- Must be classified as a Dislocated Worker by a Career Center
- Must be enrolled and active within the Career Center network
This is not a job placement program, nor does it focus on green employment; however, previous programs participants have been very successful in reaching their goal of re-employment and this program would be very beneficial to those seeking employment in the green field.
