This interactive map will help anyone currently looking to understand the expanse of the green economy and learn more about opportunities that exist in their own back yard.
Use this interactive map to find:
- Names, addresses and descriptions of companies that provide products and services in the green economy. More than 2200 business providing products and services in renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings and efficient transportation are profiled.
- Opportunities for employment in the green economy. More than 75% of businesses listed have direct links to company websites.
- How clusters of companies have led to hot beds of green economic growth in nearly every city and county in California. The map is sortable by geography and business type.
- Which Congressional members represent the most businesses involved in driving the California green economy. Congressional districts are provided for every business listed.
By running the mapping tool, users can sort companies to see which metropolitan areas have led the way in growing the green economy. The top five counties in California are:
