NOTE: As per the revised California Solar Initiative Handbook, which has been finalized by the California Public Utilities Commission:

  • The Field Verification Form is no longer required to be submitted with the Incentive Claim Form package but should be completed and retained by the contractor.
  • The deadline for resubmitting incomplete Reservation Requests and Incentive Claim Form packages has been changed from 20 calendar days to 14 calendar days.

  1. Electrical System Sizing Documentation (new/expanded load only) for projects > 5 kW

  2. Copy of Executed Alternative System Ownership Agreement (If System Owner is different from Host Customer)
  3. Limitations on Installed Cost and Acknowledgement Form

NOTE: All systems 10 kW and smaller are prohibited from receiving Performance Based Incentive (PBI) payments and instead must receive an up-front Expected Performance-Based Buydown (EPBB) payment.

  2. CSI Field Verification Certification Form
    This document is no longer required to be uploaded as part of the ICF package, but must be completed and retained by the contractor and submitted to the Host Customer.  Program Administrators may request this document from contractors at any time.  This document can be downloaded and completed here.


NOTE: All EPBB systems over 10 kW are required to retain a Performance Monitoring and Reporting Service (PMRS) and report 15-minute interval kWh production data to the Program Administrators on a quarterly basis for five years. See the list of eligible PMRS Providers.
