AB 2724 Increases CSI Rebate Cap for Eligible State Agencies

AB 2724 promotes solar electricity generation on state buildings by increasing the CSI rebate cap for eligible state agencies from 1MW to 5MW, up to an aggregate of 26MW. All 26 MW are on a first-come, first-served basis and may be used up in any of the CSI Program Administrator service territories.

Please note that as of May 2011, Southern California Edison (SCE) has conditionally reserved CSI incentives for nearly 13 megawatts (MW) of solar projects eligible under Assembly Bill (AB) 2724, with about 13 MW remaining.

AB 2724 is scheduled to sunset on Jan. 1, 2013.

CSI Testimonial

"Sustainble development has always been a core value of Stone Brewing Co's business perspective; from the all-natural ingredients in its acclaimed beers to the emphasis on local, organically produced food on the menu to the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens. ln line with this philosophy, installing a photovoltaic solar system on the rooftop seemed like the obvious next step. Stone Brewing is very proud to announce the new 276.9 kW system supplies the brewery with the significant portion of about 40% of its total electrical power. This saves a considerable sum of money each month! And the hefty rebate checks received are just the icing on the cake."

"Don't get me wrong: I love nuclear energy! It's just that I prefer fusion to fission. And it just so happens that there's an enormous fusion reactor safely banked a few million miles from us. It delivers more than we could ever use in just about 8 minutes. And it's wireless! ."
