Home Incentives & Financing California Solar Initiative

California Solar Initiative

Incentives from the California Solar Initiative currently cover approximately 10% of the installed cost of a photovoltaic (PV) system to homes, businesses and government/nonprofit entities that are connected to the utility grid.

The nonprofit California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) administers the California Solar Initiative (CSI) for San Diego Gas & Electric customers. The incentive levels decrease over time.  Residential and commercial systems may be eligible for additional federal tax credits.
