Rebates of up to $5,000 are available for consumers who purchase or lease new eligible alternative fuel vehicles between May 24, 2007 and April 30, 2009 or until funding runs out*. Applicant and vehicle eligibility requirements are specified in the CARB Alternative Fuel Vehicle Incentive Program (AFVIP) guidelines (Guidelines).

Fueling Alternatives is a limited program. Funding will be insufficient to provide rebates to all eligible vehicle purchasers over the duration of the program.
