General MASH FAQs
Does CCSE administer MASH for the whole state of California?
No. PG&E administers the program in PG&E territory and SCE administers the program in SCE territory.
Where can I find information about solar?
http://energycenter.org/index.php/incentive-programs/california-solar-initiative/faqs-about-solar
What is the rebate amount based on?
The MASH rebate is based on the size of the solar system and its expected performance.
How are rebates paid?
After submitting the Incentive Claim Package and solar system inspection by a program administrator, the project will be eligible for an incentive payment. Regardless of system size, all MASH rebates are paid up-front based on the expected performance of the system.
Do the incentive levels decline?
No. Unlike the general market CSI program MASH incentives are not set to decline.
How do I know what my incentive amount will be?
There is an online calculator that allows you to input system information at www.csi-epbb.com/mash.aspx
How long does it take to receive the rebate?
After the Incentive Claim has been approved and the system has been inspected by CCSE it will take approximately 30 days.
Can a project be both Track 1A and Track 1B?
Yes.
In a master metered building how do you determine Track 1a and 1b?
There are two options: 1) Measure the total sq ft of the building and determine the percentage split between common area and tenant units. The solar system will then be incentivised according to that percentage split. For example, if a building, based on sq ft, is 10% common area and 90% tenant units the solar system will be incentivised at a rate of 90% track 1B and 10% Track 1a. 2) Conduct a detailed energy audit of the site that demonstrates the percent split of on-site energy consumption.

Is Virtual Net Metering currently available?
