The SDHEU matching incentives are in addition to Energy Upgrade California, and require that the customer live in the City of San Diego. The contractor must continue to follow the appropriate Energy Upgrade California steps/guidelines throughout the SDHEU process.

- Contractor completes energy upgrades
- Contractor completes test-in/test-out Energy Upgrade California job reporting template
- Contractor completes and submits the following required Energy Upgrade California forms:

- Energy Upgrade California Project Completion Report
- Energy Upgrade California Final Contractor Invoice

Pending Payment/Completed
- CCSE reviews all Energy Upgrade California required forms
- QA will occur
- CCSE provides rebate check to contractor within 30 days upon the satisfactory completion of Step 3
- Basic Projects - $1,000
- Advanced Projects - Up to $4,000* (each qualified Advanced Project will receive at least $1,750)
*Combined incentives may not exceed total project cost, SDHEU matching incentive will pay up to the project cost if this is the case
