Single-family Residents

For owners and tenants of single-family detached homes located within the City of San Diego, the SDHEU program combines with SDG&E’s Energy Savings Assistance Program (ESAP) to provide comprehensive, whole-house energy upgrades at no cost.

In order to qualify, residents must meet the income qualifications of the ESAP program.

You may also qualify if your household currently receives benefits for any of these public assistance programs:

  • Healthy Families A&B
  • Medicaid/Medi-Cal
  • SNAP/CalFresh (Food Stamps)
  • CalWORKs (TANF) or Tribal TANF
  • National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
  • Women, Infants and Children Programs (WIC)
  • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
  • Head Start Income Eligible (Tribal Only)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
