Rainy weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the 20 vendors and approximately 200 interested San Diegans, who attended the first-ever Solar Water Heating Expo at CCSE held on June 20. Assembly Member Lori Saldaña (76th District) addressed a full room of workshop attendees at the Expo, stressing the importance of solar water heating and net zero energy homes.
The event drew TV reporters from KUSI and WB6 who interviewed Director of Programs Andrew McAllister and Program Manager Annie Henderson about the importance of solar water heating as a renewable technology and the rebates available through the Solar Water Heating Pilot Program. The pilot program is scheduled to end in December. SWH Expo 2009
