May 18 is Bike to Work Day

Few forms of transportation are more economical or environmentally friendly than riding a bicycle, particularly when pedaling replaces a gas-powered vehicle. Some 6,000 San Diegans are projected to take to two wheels during Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 18.

CCSE awarded the first rebate check issued from $15 million allocated by California Air Resources Board ( ARB) for clean vehicles during fiscal year 2011-12 to Kim Adelman of Poway at a ceremony held Nov. 15.

Project invites businesses to help build infrastructure

Although the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) as a principal means of daily transportation and commuting is still in the future, consumer demand for EVs is increasing in San Diego and a call is going out to local businesses to become host sites for EV charging stations.
