Greening Your World® Monthly Tip
Make Dishwashing Green
If you're washing dishes in the sink and letting the water run, you're wasting gallons of hot water. Instead, use two sink-sized containers, filling one with hot water and eco-friendly, biodegradable soap. Fill the other tub with plain hot water for rinsing. When you're done, you can dump both tubs on your outdoor plants for watering because the soap is safe for your garden. Why let all that water go down the drain?
Notable Quotable
“If there's reason for hope, it lies in man's occasional binges of cooperation. . . . To save our planet, we'll need that kind of heroic effort, in which all types of people join forces for the common good.”
- George Meyer, TV writer for The Simpsons
