McAllister To Be Energy Commissioner
Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. has appointed CCSE’s Andrew McAllister to the California Energy Commission. McAllister, 46, has held several positions with CCSE since 2005, most recently as interim managing director.
As a member of the Energy Commission, McAllister will be overseeing elements of the state’s energy planning and policies. The position requires confirmation from the California State Senate. Creating a New Energy Economy
Energy expert Amory Lovins (right), chairman of the Rocky Mountain Institute, captivated a crowd of San Diegans with visions of a future United States thriving economically without using oil, coal or nuclear power at a lecture cosponsored by CCSE and CleanTECH San Diego held April 11. His solution is “reinventing fire,” a sweeping proposal to transition from burning fossil fuels to using efficient and renewable energy. Click here to continue reading.
Bike to Work Tips
