Related News: CCSE is a participant in several new initiatives that have received Recovery Act funds related to kick-starting green employment in San Diego. One program provides nearly $3.5 million in funding from the Dept. of Energy to the California Community Colleges, in collaboration with CCSE, the California Energy Commission and the Labor Management Cooperation Committee (IBEW-NECA), to create a statewide standardized training curriculum and certification program for solar photovoltaic ( PV) and Solar Thermal. An additional $1 million award from the California Clean Energy Workforce Training Program to the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District will fund a broad-based initiative in which CCSE is participating as a member of the San Diego Green Building Training Collaborative.
