Professor of history and science studies at the University of California, San Diego, Naomi Oreskes will present her critically acclaimed book, Merchants of Doubt, followed by a book signing.

 

Naomi Oreskes, professor of history and science studies at the University of California, San Diego and adjunct professor of geosciences at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, researches consensus and dissent in science. Oreskes’s critically acclaimed book, Merchants of Doubt, highlights the disconnect between the state of scientific debate and the way it has been presented in the mass media and perceived by the American people.

Dinner will be provided.

Copies of Merchants of Doubt will be available for purchase (no credit cards accepted-cash or checks only) and a book signing will take place after the workshop.
