Background: To meet the demand from teachers for information on the environment that is hands-on, inspiring and appropriate for elementary and middle school students, CCSE piloted the Green Learning Adventure during the 2009-10 school year to a variety of schools and programs serving a diverse cross section of San Diego County, reaching more than 8,000 students and adults, and we found that it resonated with everyone very well.
Green Learning Adventure Goals
- Engage children and their families in sustainability
- Foster better stewards of the environment
- Inspire the next generation to follow green career paths
