This June 7^th come to Street Smart and test drive the Zuumer , an electric scooter developed by ZuumCraft, Inc of San Diego. The Zuumer is a light-weight vehicle with a riding experience similar to snow-boarding in that it carves into curves with a comfortable amount of leaning.

A quiet 1,000W, front-hub motor powers the Zuumer up steep hills and along the flats at speeds of nearly 20 miles per hour, while disk brakes provide safe stopping. The Zuumer costs about $2,200.

It was rated fun and “amazingly easy to ride,” said CCSE Controller Jose De La Torre, shown getting on the scooter.
