Rick Crandall is the Director of Sustainability for the Southern California Division Albertsons food stores. His responsibility is for 261 stores, over 24,000 associates and two distribution centers from Morro Bay to the San Diego US border and East to Las Vegas.
He also sits on the Supervalu’ Enterprise Environmental Steering Committee that guides the Sustainability efforts for over 2500 stores in 38 states and 30 Distribution Centers. Rick also is a member of the California Grocers Association, California Retailers Association and active member of the Los Angeles County reusable bag task force. His 39 years in the retail industry includes over a decade in Store Management and 12 years as District Manager. He recently completed and was certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt completing several projects around Sustainability efforts for the retail industry.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Redlands.
