Dan Sullivan

Dan SullivanDaniel Sullivan is the founder and President of Sullivan Solar Power, a San Diego firm that has installed over 3,000,000 watts of solar power, ranging from small-scale residential to large-scale commercial and municipal systems in Southern California.  Daniel Sullivan is a State Licensed Electrician with over a decade of field experience.

Prior to establishing Sullivan Solar Power, Mr. Sullivan was a foreman for a large commercial electrical contractor in San Diego and oversaw several major projects for the company including Scripps Cardiac Lab and the City of San Diego. During this time, Sullivan continued his education with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and discovered the virtually untapped potential that photovoltaic systems offered.  Inspired, he decided to start his own firm in order to specialize in his new-found passion, solar power. Shortly thereafter Mr. Sullivan became an instructor for photovoltaic system design and practices at the San Diego Electrical Training Center.

In addition to his teaching schedule and running the growing small business, Sullivan obtained a NABCEP certification, the highest level of certification available for photovoltaic designers in the United States. The company has developed in six years from an upstart operated out of a garage to San Diego’s largest privately held firm. Under Mr. Sullivan’s visionary leadership and operation, and with the help of a dedicated, diligent staff, Sullivan Solar Power has grown to be one of the top solar firms headquartered in the City of San Diego.

Major projects of note for Mr. Sullivan and Sullivan Solar Power include the City of San Diego Northwest Police Department, GL Stevens Senior Center, San Diego State University’s Mission Bay Aquatic Center and Aquaplex, San Diego Gas and Electric Eastern C&O Complex, California Department of Forestry Battery Systems, Port of San Diego Administration Building, City College’s Vocational Training Center and the City of Highland Environmental Learning Center.
