CCSE in partnership with the Plug-in Electric Vehicle ( PEV) Collaborative is hosting a free PEV Community Readiness Workshop for city and local government staff throughout the San Diego region. The workshop will be held on June 14th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the CCSE, 8690 Balboa Ave., Suite 100, San Diego, California.
We encourage municipal staff throughout San Diego to come and listen to local experts discuss issues that are crucial to supporting the deployment of PEVs throughout the San Diego region. These issues include:
- Updating Zoning and Parking Rules for PEV Infrastructure
- Updating Building Codes
- Streamlining Permitting and Inspection for PEV charging stations
- Training Programs for Inspectors and Other City Officials
- Outreach to Local Residents and Businesses
The workshop will also include a free lunch for attendees that pre-register and an afternoon Ride and Drive session, where attendees will be able to touch and even test drive a new PEV. Please feel free to pass this on to anyone involved in PEV infrastructure deployment. Thus far we have been targeting planning and development staff. That said, we encourage anyone who is associated with permitting/inspecting electric vehicle charging stations as well as those involved in creating and implementing building codes and zoning and parking rules to attend.
