The ERC kitchen is becoming increasingly green every day. The ERC now uses kitchenware products that are biodegradable, caterers who mostly use organic products and no longer provides bottled water. In an effort to better sort the waste that’s created through its workshops, two new waste dispensers have been added. These dispensers come with 4 compartments, which differentiate between regular trash, paper, plastics/cans and compostable material. The compostable material will be collected and composted in the new ERC composting bin. Also, to decrease paper waste, speaker presentations will no longer be printed, instead they’ll be emailed beforehand, allowing attendees to review and print at their discretion.
