Moving Toward San Diego’s Bright Green Future

SClimate Change Conferenceeveral CCSE experts participated in the two-day Bright Green Future conference that explored the economic and environmental challenges of going green in the San Diego region held Oct. 23-24 at UC San Diego. The conference, presented by San Diego EarthWorks, focused on sustainability, energy, climate change, green building, green jobs and more.

 

 

CCSE Director of Programs Andrew McAllister moderated a panel on energy efficiency and renewable energy issues. Andrea Cook, CCSE climate change program manager, spoke about how to measure your carbon footprint and strategies for reducing it. Representing the California Solar Initiative ( CSI) were Katrina Phruksukarn, Solar Water Heating Program manager, and Matthew Messina, program assistant for the CSI residential program.
