Educating about the probable local impacts of Climate Change and what can be done to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. CCSE's Climate Change Services include: Green Learning AdventureGreen Learning Adventure is CCSE's new community education initiative to teach elementary and middle school students about global climate change and sustainable living, with initial funding and strong support from the Sempra Energy Foundation, Walmart Foundation and Sempra Utilities. The Green Leaning Adventure ( GLA) is geared primarily to students in grades five through eight, and it provides up to 15 different hands-on, interactive lesson modules covering topics ranging from exposing absurd packaging to exploring the transportation requirements for a home-cooked meal. Advice and Technical Assistance Center ( ATAC) for Urban ForestryCCSE’s main goal for this project is to enable and facilitate a wide range of urban forestry projects in the San Diego Region. Advice and Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) for Urban Forestry is THE central meeting place for people to learn both the “how to” and best practices in urban landscaping. Through education, outreach and technical assistance, ATAC will provide metrics for use by decision-makers and citizens alike when reaching to meet pressing water conservation and greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals under Assembly Bill 32 (The Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006) and the (Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP) Customized PresentationsContact us to arrange presentations for: businesses, municipalities, elected officials, professional organizations, decision makers, non-profits, homeowner associations, concerned citizens, schools and more.
