Tree Map Charts Benefits of Urban Forest

CCSE is launching an interactive map that displays and quantifies the ecological and economic benefits of trees in urban areas of San Diego County beginning March 1. The map, a project of the CCSE’s Advice and Technical Assistance Center for Urban Forestry, will help city planners, landscape architects and others to better assess future growth and planting opportunities as well as tracking the health and value of specific trees and clusters of trees in defined areas.

GLA teaches lessons with plenty of energy

On February 8 Andrea took CCSE's Green Learning Adventure on the road to Del Mar where she joined many other companies, like Genentech and Hewlitt-Packard, in showing students how science and technology translate to the workplace and real life.  As you can read in the UT article, the event was attended by 2500 students from 42 different schools.
