CCSE helps consumers evaluate their facility design and consumption practices to identify cost-saving opportunities that support healthy, high-performance communities through the adoption of resource-efficient technologies and practices.

Green, or sustainable, building is the practice of creating and using healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance and demolition.

CCSE has extensive programs and information on green building issues, including:

  • CCSE and SDG&E conduct dozens of expert-facilitated workshops on a broad spectrum of energy topics and issues. From the latest in green building and advanced lighting technologies to do-it-yourself “energy smart” remodeling, there’s something for everyone.
  • San Diego Energy Resource Center provides education displays and literature for education and demonstration of best practice energy technologies and techniques.
  • Rebuild Central is a one-stop, all-in-one resource for fire survivors looking for unbiased information about how to rebuild their homes and lives with green building.
  • Incentives Programs managed by CCSE allows the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy for green building.
  • Energy Advisory Services is now offering unbiased consulting services to help customers implement energy efficiency and clean energy strategies toward a Green building certification.
