Join us on March 2, 2011 as we launch the new Advice and Technical Assistance Center for Urban Forestry ( ATAC), funded by CALFIRE. The event will begin with a workshop, Sustainable Landscaping 101, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m., followed by an Open House 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
The Open House will include opening remarks from Irene Stillings, CCSE executive director, as well as a guided tour of the ATAC’s new display area that highlights the many benefits of trees to the atmosphere and the sustainability of our local and global environment. In addition to the displays, the center also has a lending library of books, periodicals and DVDs on sustainable landscaping and related topics.
The event will also be an opportunity to view CCSE’s newly redesigned Energy Resource Center with exhibits about solar energy, energy efficiency, green building and other sustainability topics.
