Solar Technology Series

Printer-friendly view of this page.

The workshops are for solar developers, installers, engineers, researchers and PV enthusiasts who want to learn more about solar technologies and discuss new and imerging ideas.

The topic of this Solar Technology Series workshop will be Micro-Scaled Concentrating Solar Power or "MicroCSP". Sopogy pioneered MicroCSP technologies which have a small footprint and lightweight design to provide highly efficient electrical and thermal power generation from a renewable and sustainable fuel: solar energy.  MicroCSP systems bring concentrated solar power to industrial and utility facilities by using concentrating mirrors with optics, low cost thermal storage, sun tracking, and an affordable system installation technique to keep the costs down while delivering a quick payback.  MicroCSP technologies are used to create Process Heat, Solar Air Conditioning or Electrical Power and can be ground or rooftop mounted opening an entirely new market for CSP systems.

The speakers at this event will be Sean Grigorian and Esther Gonzalez Garcia, both engineers with Sopogy.
