

Training Description:
CCSE’s Home Performance Training prepares CSLB licensed contractors and CalCerts certified Whole House Raters to understand, evaluate and scientifically diagnose the house as a system of interactive components and provides the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully become a BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Professional. By attaining BPI certification, you will become eligible to participate in the Energy Upgrade California program and demonstrate your knowledge and skills are among the best in the home performance industry – capable of diagnosing critical performance factors in a home that impact comfort, health, safety, durability and energy efficiency. This training is provided to contactors and raters for FREE through the Energy Upgrade California Program.
CCSE utilizes the best-in-class Saturn Resource Management (Saturn) training curriculum taught by two expert CCSE contractor-trainers, Dadla Ponizil and Jerry McGuire. Our training is conducted in both classroom and field settings, so that you are sure to gain valuable hands-on experience applying the home performance diagnostic techniques in a variety of housing types.

BPI Certification:
As a recognized Building Performance Institute Testing Center, CCSE coordinates the logistics of all BPI certification field and written exams. To obtain BPI certification, students must pass a 100-question written exam (50-question if HERS Rater) and a 2-hour field exam per certification.
BPI Written and Field Exam fees are not covered as a part of this training. Fees are to be paid by the student on the first day of training.

Training Schedule:
We have designed our training schedule with afternoon sessions to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals, and provide you with an opportunity to maintain your business operations while committing time and effort to the training.
The 80-hour training schedule is spread out over 4 consecutive weeks. By registering for this training you are agreeing to attend all days of the training. The training starts Tuesday, July 31 at 1:00p.
Training Dates:
- * Week 1 – July 31 through August 3
- * Week 2 – August 7 through 10
- * Week 3 – August 14 through 17
- * Week 4 – August 21 through 24
Training Session Times:
- * Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- * Friday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Training Registration Deposit:
CCSE requires a credit card fee of $290.00 at the time of registration to reserve the student's seat in this training. This reservation fee will only be charged to the account if the student does cancels their registration without providing written notice at least 5 days notice to dadla.ponizil@energycenter.org.
