Local Governments

The goal of Valley Takes Charge! is to provide training and technical assistance for public agencies in the San Joaquin Valley on electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) permitting processes. Resources such as a permitting toolkit and a permitting hotline are being developed to support local government staff.

Survey and Regional Workshops

In order to better understand the existing processes in the region, Valley Takes Charge! has developed a survey on permitting and inspection process conditions for local government staff.

To complete the survey, please provide your input.

Following the survey, Valley Takes Charge! will hold regional workshops to review the survey results and discuss how the region can improve the permitting and inspection processes to facilitate more efficient EVCS installations.

Workshop dates are being scheduled. Please check back soon or contact us for additional information.

Permitting Toolkit and Regional Trainings

Valley Takes Charge! also will provide trainings throughout the Valley for local government staff on EVCS permitting and inspection processes and disseminate the resources developed for the permitting toolkit. Training materials are being developed and will be available for download.

Training dates are being scheduled. Please check back soon or contact us for additional information.

Permitting Hotline

A hotline for permitting staff will be established to answer questions from local government agencies about the overall EVCS permitting and inspection process, explain developed resources and provide guidance through Q&As.
