Income Verification Coordinator

Location: San Diego, CA

Job Summary:

The Coordinator/Lead is responsible for general support of various Clean Transportation projects with a focus on project activities related to the administration of statewide clean transportation programs. Under general supervision from the Clean Transportation Project Manager the Project Coordinator/Lead will assume responsibilities that include program implementation, stakeholder engagement, marketing and outreach, business development.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Stakeholder Engagement:  Interact extensively with clean transportation stakeholders related to clean transportation opportunities including, but not limited to, Community based organizations (CBOs), local community representatives, auto makers, dealers, medium and heavy duty fleet owners, air districts, Air Resources Board and Energy Commission representatives, project partners, media and others directly and indirectly related to state and nationwide transportation programs.
  • Program Implementation:  Provide logistical and administrative oversight. Enforce program requirements, application procedures and standards.  Ensure quality control.
  • Program Design:  Make recommendations on transportation program design, including needs assessments, drafting proposals, preparing marketing tools, and evaluation and reporting.
  • Program Monitoring: Monitor daily activities to ensure that procedures are working to achieve program goals and to support efficient processes.  Review program plans through the course of the fiscal year and advise the Senior Manager or Program Manager as necessary.
  • Subcontractor management: Coordinate, organize and track progress of subcontractor completed tasks. Manage all subcontractor deliverables and act as liaison for communication between program staff and subcontractors.
  • Reporting: Create program reports and presentations.  Contribute to data analysis and writing of transportation program reports.
  • Community Outreach: Engage in market facilitation activities involving community presentations.  Assist with program outreach, education, marketing, workshops, etc.
  • Special Projects: Represent CSE programs and CSE at external events.  Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience directly related to the primary job duties and required qualifications. Graduate school experience may take the place of some work experience if directly relevant to essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in area relevant to sustainable transportation and energy and/or the automotive industry, such as business administration, environmental/energy policy, transportation planning, environmental planning, or environmental science. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service.
  • Extremely detail-oriented; exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform within required deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, changing priorities, stressful situations and complex assignments.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive and work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with advanced technology market transformation programs a plus.
  • Familiarity with California clean transportation policies and landscape a plus.

Computer and/or Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated fluency in using standard office software packages (MS Office:  Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiar with standard office procedures, filing, telephone techniques and operation of office equipment.
  • Advanced uses of word processing, spreadsheet, database and other standard software to create well-formatted documents and materials requiring interpretation and critical thought.
  • Proficient in typing and good at spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.
