The California Air Resources Board (ARB) announced that the 2014 Cadillac ELR is approved for eligibility for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) administered by CCSE.
The ELR is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that operates on electricity as well as an internal combustion engine. It has an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 37 miles (based on 82 MPGe) and a combined gas plus electric range of 340 miles (with a full charge and tank of gas). When the ELR is operating solely on gasoline its EPA-estimated miles per gallon is 31 in the city and 35 on the highway.
Price and incentives
The Cadillac ELR has a listed MSRP of $75,000. Through the CVRP, purchasers or lessees for 36 months or longer are eligible for a $1,500 rebate. Purchasers also qualify for a federal tax credit up to $7,500. The ELR meets California’s criteria for single-occupancy access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes.
