As a leader in climate action planning and sustainability, the City of Chula Vista has taken steps to help its staff and local constituents understand and implement California energy codes and related green building technologies. CSE provided the following support to the City of Chula Vista’s Sustainable Communities Program:
- Sustainability training for developers, architects, contractors, permit applicants and local government staff
- A “Code Coach” to help building inspectors and plans examiners understand and enforce the latest versions of Title 24, Part 6 and Title 24, Part 11
- Staff for the city’s Sustainability Desk to answer green building questions from the public
- Assistance in updating the city website to reflect current changes in codes, incentives and more
