The California Air Resources Board (ARB) announced that the 2014 Cadillac ELR is approved for eligibility for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) administered by CCSE.

The ELR is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that operates on electricity as well as an internal combustion engine. It has an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 37 miles (based on 82 MPGe) and a combined gas plus electric range of 340 miles (with a full charge and tank of gas). When the ELR is operating solely on gasoline its EPA-estimated miles per gallon is 31 in the city and 35 on the highway.

State funding agencies allocate $59.55 million in incentives for 2013-14          

The California Air Resources Board has selected CCSE to continue for a fourth year as administrators of the statewide Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) that promotes the purchase or lease of new plug-in hybrid and zero-emission vehicles.

CCSE Joins SoCal Center to Promote Alt Fuels & Advanced Vehicles

The California Energy Commission has awarded $1.6 million to a consortium of Southern California-based organizations led by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) to establish a Southern California Center for Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicle Technology.

CCSE Prepares Regional PEV Readiness Guide for SANDAG

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) approved at a January 24 board of directors meeting a comprehensive document for readying the region for widespread use of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) prepared by CCSE transportation staff, SANDAG and the San Diego Regional Electric Vehicle Infrastructure working group.
