Formed by the Center for Sustainable Energy in partnership with Energy Upgrade California and SunShot, the Clean Energy Financing Advisory Council - California (CEFAC) is an impartial forum focused on stimulating California’s clean energy marketplace through greater project financing awareness, education and innovation.
The council hosts bimonthly events, scheduled throughout 2016‒17 in San Diego, Los Angeles County, Central Coast region, Central Valley region and San Francisco Bay Area. Events address statewide clean energy news and energy financing market trends, with guest speakers examining a specific financing topic and each event concluding with networking opportunities.
The aim is for attendees to obtain useful information, productive business contacts and new tools to increase the volume of clean energy financing in California. For those unable to attend, the events are broadcast via video conference as well as recorded and archived for future viewing.
Who Should Attend?
CEFAC events are designed for representatives of financial institutions; contractors working on residential, multifamily and commercial energy projects of all sizes; real estate professionals; academics; and local government staff who have an interest in advancing the clean energy marketplace and are looking at financing as a solution to barriers impeding energy project participation.

The council is facilitated by the Center for Sustainable Energy through a partnership with Energy Upgrade California® and the Department of Energy SunShot Initiative. Additional support is provided by the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability, San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization, emPower Central Coast and San Francisco Department of the Environment.
