Shelly Murphy is responsible for operations and administration across CSE’s clean energy programs in energy efficiency, building performance, renewable energy, distributed generation and alternative fuel transportation. She works closely with partners and stakeholders to successfully achieve joint objectives and strategic initiatives.
Murphy joined the CSE executive team in 2015 and has more than ten years’ experience in project management. Her work at CSE involves strategy and execution in the delivery of programs on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy, California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, California Air Resources Board, Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and multiple regional and local municipalities, ports and utilities.
These efforts complement and support several nationwide market transformation programs addressing barriers to renewable energy, clean transportation and energy efficiency adoption. In addition, Murphy directs the management of utility energy programs for investor-owned and publicly owned utilities throughout California, providing program design and implementation.
Previously, Murphy worked as a project manager in the information technology sector for Burwood Group, Trace3 and Sempra Energy. She has a bachelor’s degree in fisheries biology, a certificate in project management from UC San Diego and a master’s degree in project management with leadership concentration from Northeastern University.
