About the Equinox Project

Vision

Current and future generations living in San Diego County enjoy a superior quality of life because the region is a model for sustainability.

Core Values

  • Healthy Environment: We stand for stewardship of San Diego County’s distinctive natural beauty and unique habitats: land, water, climate, air quality, natural areas, beaches and richly diverse ecosystems.
  • Strong Economy: We support a competitive economy that yields widely shared prosperity across the region. We believe the creation of well-paying jobs should provide real opportunities for success in every city and neighborhood and should not jeopardize air or water quality or citizens’ health.
  • Civic Engagement: We believe in fostering participation in creating places that people like to live, work and visit and communities that enhance the health, safety and quality of life of San Diego’s diverse population by respecting local culture, using resources wisely and providing convenient, reliable transportation options.

Inspired by these values, the Equinox Project and CSE are proponents for the region’s responsible growth and support the conscientious caretaking of its natural and economic assets.
