The Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources has selected CSE to administer a new incentive program aimed at increasing the number of zero-emission vehicles commonwealth residents own. The Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles (MOR-EV) program will provide up to $2,500 for the purchase or lease of plug-in hybrid or electric vehicles (EVs).

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick unveiled the MOR-EV incentives at a press conference held March 27 when announcing a number of new state investments in programs designed to support alternative fuel vehicles (photo at left).

Installing solar power at the Kensington Veterinary Hospital on Adams Avenue seemed like a great way to combine long-held environmental values with a need for increased electricity, according to co-owner Dr. Patricia Ungar. Now that solar panels are producing a third of the pet center’s energy and providing up to a 40 percent utility bill savings, she’s also feeling a great deal of financial satisfaction.

CCSE has appointed three new members to its board of directors, bringing the total to 15 individuals who help guide the organization in its mission to accelerate the adoption of clean energy policies and technologies.

They are Daniel Chia, director of policy and electricity markets for SolarCity; Angelina Galiteva, governing board member of the California Independent System Operator; and Michael Kelly, executive director of the Los Angeles Coalition for the Economy & Jobs.
