The Multifamily Affordable Solar Housing (MASH) Program provides incentives to offset the cost of installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on multitenant affordable housing developments in California. MASH's goal is to combine energy efficiency and solar PV to help enhance the overall quality of affordable housing.
Since MASH's inception in 2009, the program has completed 358 projects throughout the state, providing 23.6 megawatts of electricity. Assembly Bill 217 has allotted new funding to the MASH program, and MASH is tentatively scheduled reopen on Aug 3, 2015. Although funding in San Diego Gas & Electric territory is fully subscribed due to previously waitlisted projects, additional rebates may still be available in the utility service territories of PG&E and SCE.
CSE is the program administrator of MASH in the SDG&E territory. For more information regarding the MASH program within SDG&E territory, contact a MASH representative at 858-244-1177.
