Responsible for general support of various Clean Transportation projects with a focus on training of rebate processing specialists and income-related operations for administration of statewide clean transportation programs. Under general supervision from the Clean Transportation Operations Managers, the Coordinator will assume responsibilities that include program implementation, team training and support, partner engagement, and overall coordination of transportation program requirements and income verification.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and ongoing support to the transportation operations team of rebate processing specialists (RPS).
  • Provide logistical and administrative oversight to ensure quality control. Enforce program requirements, application procedures and standards, and support income verification processes.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure that procedures are working to achieve program goals and to support efficient processing. Review program plans through the course of the fiscal year and advise the Senior Manager or Program Manager as necessary.
  • Make recommendations on transportation program design, including drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Cheat Sheets, program email templates and correspondence, and program evaluation and reporting.
  • Coordinate, organize and track progress of RPS tasks. 
  • Create program reports and presentations as needed. Contribute to data analysis and writing of transportation program reports.
  • Maintain and update the internal database of program processing and income verification related documentation, including SOPs and Cheat Sheets.
  • Handle inquiries about the program, eligible technologies and project requirements. Serve as point person for escalated customer service calls as they relate to transportation operations and income verification.
  • Provide overall operational support to Project & Operations managers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • General knowledge of income verification and income documentation. 
  • Familiarity with California's clean transportation policies and landscape.
  • Experience with advanced technology market transformation programs.


  • Bachelor’s degree in area relevant to sustainable transportation and/or business practices, such as business administration, environmental/energy policy, transportation planning, environmental planning or environmental science or equivalent work experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Valid California driver’s license; insured in the State of California. Must have access to a licensed and registered vehicle and be willing to use it for work-related purposes.

In this role, you’ll use your B2B and B2C marketing experience to help meet California’s statewide energy efficiency goals by raising awareness of a trustworthy, consumer-facing brand: GoGreen Financing. This statewide program provides access to attractive financing for energy efficiency upgrades to Californians from all backgrounds, including homeowners, renters, small business owners, and owners of affordable multifamily housing.


You will lead and implement the GoGreen Financing marketing strategy with support from a collaborative team of marketers, web and graphic designers, and content writers and editors who function as an internal marketing agency that engages diverse audiences for a growing portfolio of government and business clients. You will also collaborate with CSE program managers, state agencies and utilities to build engagement among diverse audiences and increase program applications through marketing tactics, including website content, paid digital advertising campaigns, and social media.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effective execution of marketing strategies and tactics across paid, earned, social and owned channels for GoGreen Financing.
  • Use your expertise to build consensus on marketing approaches that will provide the best ROI, providing data-driven recommendations, negotiating competing priorities and keeping marketing activities on track.
  • Use data to optimize tactics and ensure marketing and program goals are consistently met, implement A/B testing approaches, pivot when necessary, and provide clear, accurate reports on marketing metrics.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to engage diverse markets and stakeholders, including hard-to-reach or disadvantaged communities.
  • Interact collaboratively with internal program teams and external stakeholders to establish and execute on shared goals with focus and flexibility.
  • Manage website standards and content and propose optimizations for organic and paid traffic.
  • Develop and execute on paid and organic social media strategy. Oversee social media channels and propose optimizations.
  • Manage implementation of initiatives with project management software through the content creation lifecycle from creative brief to drafting, editing, design and distribution. 
  • Potentially oversee one direct report, providing direction and feedback on program work and guiding career growth.
  • Document and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Assist with implementation of other CSE clean energy and transportation marketing programs as needed.


Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing plans.
  • Experience working directly with clients, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Experience analyzing, reporting and presenting marketing data, including building customized marketing reports in Data Studio (or other programs).

  • Experience in finance or financial services, technology, renewable energy or energy efficiency industries

  • Understanding of multicultural marketing and/or passion for expanding equitable access to technology, financing and programs to reduce energy use.
  • Experience with marketing software such as Marketo, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, SEMRush and Litmus.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred


  • Five to 10 years of professional experience developing and executing marketing strategies, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and pivoting in the face of evolving and competing priorities. A master’s degree with a concentration in marketing may take the place of some work experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

•    Process clean transportation rebate applications using a customized Salesforce.com CRM system and other computer systems

•    Follow detailed, standard practices and operating procedures to review rebate applications and varied, complex supporting documents for accuracy and completeness

•    Make quick, consistent decisions following detailed program terms and conditions to determine rebate applicant eligibility

•    Provide technical support to applicants for the online application and document submission processes

•    Explain complex project requirements to applicants on the phone and in writing

•    Use good judgment when speaking with applicants about the non-public personal information

•    Handle highly sensitive documents that contain non-public personal information, following mandatory security processes

•    Use template-based and customized emails to communicate professionally and accurately with rebate applicants

•    Prepare and mail rebate checks to rebate applicants

•    Work effectively with fellow team members to complete rebate processing tasks, assisting others when opportunities arise

•    Identify issues that may require deviation from standard practices and work with team leads to implement solutions

•    Communicate with the operations team leads and operations managers to provide status updates, report concerns, and suggest solutions and improvements

The Sales Director will be responsible for reviewing, revising, supplementing, and executing the plan to capture program planning and administration contracts flowing from the multibillion-dollar EV and EVI investment currently being planned by the federal government.  


  • Review and, as necessary, supplement/revise the federal and 50 state go-to-market strategy for CSE’s Caret software platform and program-related services, including software-enabled program design and administration, marketing, and quantitative and qualitative program evaluation and analysis.
  • Expand and nurture senior-level relationships with entities in the EV/EVi ecosystem, including EV charging companies, OEMs, dealerships, utilities, trade associations, potential resellers and partners, other private sector stakeholders seeking to participate in the EV/EVi markets, and state and local government funding entities.
  • Achieve budgeted revenue and surplus objectives.
  • Integrate sales effort with existing business development and marketing functions.
  • Work in a fast-paced, results-oriented mission-driven environment.
  • Lead go/no go evaluation process for RFPs and, as appropriate, proposal response teams.
  • Collaborate with the general counsel’s office to lead the negotiation of major contracts.
  • Oversee management of CRM and required executive and board-level sales process reporting.
  • Engage as appropriate in public-facing presentations that drive brand, establish leadership and deepen market penetration.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable on EV and EVi market trends, changes and policies.
  • Oversee internal cross-departmental collaboration required to create and deliver compelling, domain and operating experience-infused selling initiatives.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in related industries/fields with a proven track record of meeting sales targets for new customers and existing customer expansion.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing a sales team.
  • EV and EVi project-related experience is a plus.
  • Software sales experience is a significant plus.
  • Software-enable service sales experience is a significant plus.
  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings.
  • Comfort with, and communication and management skills for executing in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and active internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of EVs and EVi technology and the competitive landscape preferred.
  • Willingness/eagerness to travel for face-to-face engagement with prospects and clients.

Manages scope, schedule, and budget for one or more clean transportation projects. May also serve in a supporting role on additional projects.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Define project scopes, budgets, goals and objectives according to Statements of Work
  • Provide logistical and administrative oversight for clean vehicles programs, and enforce program requirements, application procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure quality control by tapping into technical knowledge and stakeholder familiarity to ensure deliverables and resources align with both established technical standards and project requirements.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure that procedures are working to achieve program goals and to support efficient processes
  • Review project plans as necessary throughout the course of the fiscal year
  • Create project reports and presentations to both internal and external clients
  • Recommend budget revisions and/or changes to project activities that keep expenses within budget and staff utilization rates on target.
  • Represent CSE programs and CSE at external events as necessary.

Relationship Management

  • Interact with EV market stakeholders including, but not limited to, fleet owners and operators, dealerships, auto makers, and government entities
  • Coordinate directly with clients on project expectations and deliverables


Project Support

  • Provide overall operational support within CSE’s Transportation Department, including program implementation, stakeholder engagement, marketing and outreach, and business development
