The Senior Coordinator supports various Clean Transportation and Distributed Energy Resources projects that contribute to CSE‘s mission to decarbonize This role will work closely with project managers, specialists and subject matter experts to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work products, build and maintain strong partner and stakeholder relationships and support various aspects of project management including scope and budget management. The role will primarily focus on the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP) as well as a number of DER demonstration projects, but may expand into other areas as needed. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a future with sustainable, equitable and resilient transportation, buildings while gaining valuable knowledge and project management skills in a high-growth industry. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day program activities including collaboration with team members to develop tools and resources for target audiences. Tap into technical knowledge and stakeholder familiarity to ensure tools and resources align with both established technical standards and project requirements. 
  • Interact extensively with stakeholders; develop and maintain strong relationships to inform stakeholders of ongoing program developments. Develop and deliver messages to target audiences via newsletters, direct marketing materials, presentations, web content, social media, etc. 
  • Create program reports and presentations.  Contribute to data analysis and writing of building performance program reports. 
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures; review and approve incentive application materials that require advanced knowledge and/or discretionary decision-making ability to ensure compliance with program requirements. 
  • Make recommendations on future program design, including needs assessments, drafting proposals, creating content, preparing marketing materials, and evaluation and reporting. 
  • Accurately track program data in Excel and/or customer relationship management software; organize and analyze data to inform reporting requirements and program design improvements. Ensure that procedures are working to achieve program goals and to support efficient processes.      
  • Support PMs with client and subcontractor invoicing, expense tracking and budget management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Efforts will focus on promoting the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP), a program that offers rebates for the purchase or lease of new, eligible zero-emission and plug-in hybrid light-duty vehicles.  This job description outlines key tasks that the selected candidate will focus on in this role.

 Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate that has deep experience working with black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) communities that is an outgoing community engagement champion to represent CSE (Center for Sustainable Energy) and the CVRP program in building strong partnerships and participate in community events throughout the Sacramento and areas of northern California.  This role is responsible for building awareness and understanding of CVRP as well as educating target audiences about additional incentives and benefits of clean vehicle ownership.  


Primary Job Duties

 Partnership Development and Coordination

  • Partnership Building 
    1. Seek out and cultivate new partnerships with community- based organizations (CBOs), community leaders, sustainability, and health focused organizations 
    2. Manage and Strengthen CVRP established relationships with identified stakeholders
  • CBO Partner Network stakeholder coordination
    1. Regular check in with partners under the CBO Partner Network 
    2. Provide ongoing outreach and engagement support
    3. Assist with community presentations for CBO partner network
    4. Assist with any CVRP supported test drives with CBO partner network

Community Event/Presentations

  • Community event participation
    1. Represent CSE/CVRP participating in approved community events and local presentations.
    2. Research event opportunities to participate in that target the low to moderate income audience in pre-identified disadvantaged communities (requires developing an understanding of the landscape of assigned areas to identify where efforts should be focused)
    3. Coordinate needs for any approved event participation logistics 

Administration Responsibilities

  • Administrative responsibilities include:
    1. Oversee inventory of all outreach materials
    2. Uphold CVRP branding standards with regards to materials to be used at events/presentations
    3. Assist with culturally sensitive new outreach tools, handouts and materials as needed to adapt to local communities
    4. Maintain and monitor all outreach messaging for events/presentations
    • Track event/presentation and partnership metrics for internal/external reporting purposes
    • Maintain all communications with partners, stakeholder activities and conversations through Salesforce platform
    • Update project tasks through Teamwork platform
    • Perform other duties as assigned


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree suggested and or 
  • 2-3 years of experience in community outreach or other areas directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Deep experience working with in BIPOC communities
  • Bilingual (reading, writing, and speaking) in both English and Spanish a plus
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong professional relationships over the phone and in person
  • Demonstrated fluency in using standard office software packages (MS Office: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong multitasking ability, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to follow through on assignments and projects within required budgets and deadlines
  • Familiarity with federal and California regulations related to transportation, energy, and air quality a plus

  • This position will require the use of a personal vehicle to transport program and/or booth material to events/presentations or partner meetings. Mileage reimbursement available upon completed and approved vehicle mileage form.

  • Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.  
  • When working events, employee will be required to lift up to 50 lbs. in order to transport, setup and take down booth and program materials and stand for extended periods of time
  • Will work some evenings and weekends or work longer hours when working at events or to meet deadlines

Position is currently remote, ideal candidate would be based in Los Angeles, Fresno or Oakland, CA.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Dealership Outreach

· Lead dealership education efforts through virtual outreach, in-person visits and coordination of training sessions.

· Identify key accounts and build/maintain relationships with dealerships in assigned territory.

· Salesforce account management.

o Enter all dealership event data into Salesforce including but not limited to phone calls, emails, and in-person visits.

· Represent CSE and their programs while creating engagement opportunities with dealerships and at approved dealership community events.

· Coordinate needs for dealership virtual outreach, site visits and trainings, and event participation.

· Support training Outreach Coordinators in dealership engagement.

· Oversee inventory of all outreach materials, monitor supplies (re-ordering and repairing as needed), and organization of those items (quality assurance).

Dealership Outreach Follow Up

· Ensure effective follow up with contacts made at dealerships and events.

· Create communications that reinforce key outreach messaging and encourages dealership contacts and other stakeholders to take action.

· Address frequently asked questions, dealership issues, and/or provide other information that was brought up at specific dealerships and events.

· Track dealership outreach metrics (i.e. volume of collateral distributed, number of quality conversations had) for internal/external reporting purposes.

Partnership Development

· Participate in the development of new, regional partnerships that will assist in meeting program goals.

· Assist in maintaining relationships with dealerships and partners, ensuring they have materials they need to disseminate to their respective audience/customers.

· Assist in creating content for the statewide dealership newsletter email.

The Business Analyst works on the Product Management & Platform Development team. They help define and implement software solutions to support requirements and increase efficiency in consumer incentive programs. Becoming deeply knowledgeable of Salesforce CRM is key but the position is not limited to business analysis of only this system. Other technology and tools involved in the day to day analysis include Web Development, Box Integration, Tableau Reporting, Security tools, etc. Communication is a key success criterion for this role – being a good listener, asking key questions, speaking in a concise, clear manner with the ability to illicit details from stakeholders who do not have a technology background.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Own and support system development projects, including integration between project websites, rebate databases, and cloud-based document storage
  • Gather and translate business needs into detailed software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Oversee system specification development, including creating and reviewing flowcharts and process diagrams.
  • Participate in and/or manage projects using traditional waterfall methodology or agile Kanban/sprints
  • Develop waterfall SDLC documentation such as - Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirements Documents, Acceptance/Regression Test plans, User Acceptance Test Plans and Deployment plans
  • Develop Agile documentation such as – User stories, Detailed Requirements, Acceptance Criteria, Agile test documentation

The UX Interaction Designer is a member of the Product Management & Platform Development Team and is responsible for implementing a best in class user experience and visual design for CSE’s custom client solutions. This role is a proactive, hands-on role that collaborates with program/project managers, business analysts and front end/backend developers to build wireframes and mock-ups and is an integral member of the Team.  

SOLID KNOWLEDGE OF AXURE IS REQUIRED! If you don’t have the ability to code interactions into your wireframes in AXURE (ie. Prototype), Please do not Apply!

Essential Functions and responsibilities:

  • 3-5 years experience as a UX Interaction Designer or in a similar role
  • Work with end users, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Developers to define functionality and translate specifications into mock-ups and wireframes
  • Conduct user research to identify user personas and understand problems/needs
  • Suggest user stories and requirements that need to be considered for implementation
  • Design solutions to create smooth user flows and user interactions.
  • Convey vision and concepts through both low and high fidelity wireframes, flows, storyboards and mockups
  • Create best in class websites in terms of ease of use, look and feel
  • Own the entire design process across varied development methodologies (ie. Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
  • Test website and applications to ensure adherence to design specifications prior to release.
