The Salesforce Developer leads the design and development of custom solutions for CSE’s internal and external clients. CSE solutions include application processing platforms for clean energy incentive programs, such as California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP). These solutions include a front-end CMS system and back-end Salesforce and document storage systems. The Salesforce Developer reports to the Director of CSE’s platform development team, and collaborates with a team of business analysts, and front-end and back-end developers (including external development partners) to design, develop, deploy, and maintain solutions.

 

Essential Functions and responsibilities:

  • 5+ years’ experience designing and developing complex Salesforce solutions
  • Analyze needs and develop solutions using traditional and/or agile development methodologies
  • Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when necessary
  • Translate business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform
  • Develop comprehensive configuration designs and architectural documentation to support the successful implementation of projects
  • Identify and recommend salesforce.com based solutions, integration points and related implementation architecture for business usage improvements, scalability and performance
  • Integrate Salesforce with other applications using web services and API’s
  • Engage in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Identify any application/code security issues and recommend solutions to resolve them
  • Integrate and test systems using automation and non-automation methods
  • Strong foundation in version control, configuration management, deployment methodologies and release management
  • Provide mentoring and technical leadership to other team members

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge and expertise with Apex Development, Lightening Component Development, Model View Controller, Custom API’s, Web Services and Rest API’s
  • HTML, CSS and Javascript development is required
  • Should also have experience with Salesforce involving integrated CMS (ie. Drupal) and document storage (ie. Box) solutions.
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills, Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Apex, Visualforce and Salesforce application design and development experience
  • 2+ years of Lighting component development experience
  • Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Programming techniques.
  • Expertise in Apex development and must be knowledgeable in Trigger Frameworks, TDTM, and governor limits.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Advanced Salesforce certifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and prepare system specifications, including creating flowcharts and process diagrams. Guide testing and troubleshooting for new system features, including documenting system bugs, errors and solutions. Guide the implementation and rollout of new system features. Help develop training and provide support for new system features. Provide guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project objectives. Support non-operational CVRP business analysis work as needed. Perform research to gather necessary information, compile statistics, and prepare analysis of data.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Support process improvement activities. Participate in strategic planning for CVRP Operations. Analyze operational models for effectiveness and suggest ways to improve.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Manage system integration projects, especially between the CVRP website, rebate database, and cloud-based document storage. Ensure that projects are implemented on time and within budget. Manage internal (program, finance, IT, operations) and external (database and web development) stakeholder relationships.

DOCUMENTATION: Document the technical specifications for the CVRP rebate processing platform. Develop a plan to transfer CVRP systems and information to the Air Resources Board. Help develop and write the final report associated with each CVRP grant. Provide other writing support (e.g., proposals) as needed.

COMPUTER AND/OR TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Responsible for general support of various Clean Transportation projects with a focus on project coordinating and training of rebate processing specialists for administration of statewide clean transportation programs. Under general supervision from the Clean Transportation Operations Managers, the Coordinator will assume responsibilities that include program implementation, team training and support, partner engagement, and overall coordination of Southern California Edison’s Clean Fuel Reward Program requirements.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and ongoing support to the transportation operations team of rebate processing specialists (RPS).
  • Provide logistical and administrative oversight to ensure quality control. Enforce program requirements, application procedures and standards, and support program processes.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure that procedures are working to achieve program goals and to support efficient processing. Review program plans through the course of the fiscal year and advise the Senior Manager or Program Manager as necessary.
  • Make recommendations on transportation program design, including drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Cheat Sheets, program email templates and correspondence, and program evaluation and reporting.
  • Coordinate, organize and track progress of RPS tasks.
  • Create program reports and presentations as needed. Contribute to data analysis and writing of transportation program reports.
  • Maintain and update the internal database of program processing related documentation, including SOPs and Cheat Sheets
  • Handle inquiries about the program, eligible technologies and project requirements. Serve as point person for escalated customer service calls.
  • Provide overall operational support to Project & Operations managers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
