Director
James Tamerius has over 20 years’ experience in data science, specializing in the interplay of climate, energy and societal impacts. He uses geospatial analysis to provide insights into expanding adoption of renewable energy and electrified transportation. At CSE, he leads strategic initiatives across projects that require advanced data science methodologies. He previously held positions as an assistant professor at the University of Iowa and a postdoctoral research fellowship at Columbia University. James has a B.S. degree in earth science from UC Santa Cruz and a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Arizona.
