Jigar Shah is an energy entrepreneur, investor and strategist who was on the 2024 TIME100 list of the world’s most influential people. Currently, he is co-managing partner of Multiplier LLC, a cleantech and climate tech advisory firm. Shah most recently served as director of the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office, where he transformed the agency, overseeing deployment of $108 billion in debt financing for clean energy and advanced transportation projects nationwide. Previously, Shah was co-founder and president of Generate Capital, founder of SunEdison and founding CEO of the global nonprofit Carbon War Room. He co-hosts the popular podcast “Open Circuit.” Shah has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
