CSE is implementing the California Public Utilities Commission’s Drivers Assistance Program, helping rideshare drivers transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) under the California Clean Miles Standard.
Through the program, eligible low- and moderate-income transportation network company (TNC) drivers have access to financial incentives to support buying or leasing ZEVs. The program is funded by a per-trip fee on rides from Uber, Lyft and HopSkipDrive drivers.
As program administrator, CSE designs and manages incentives, promotes ZEV adoption and engages with auto dealerships, community-based organizations and other stakeholders to drive program success. CSE also serves as a one-stop clean transportation resource for all TNC drivers, helping them access additional incentives to lower costs for vehicles, home charger installations and public charging fees.
