The San Bernardino Countywide Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Readiness and Implementation Plan helped government agencies in the San Bernardino region develop locally informed, actionable approaches to removing barriers to ZEV adoption.
The plan served as a road map to locating ZEV infrastructure to support the county’s projected 82,500 ZEVs by 2025. An informal working group consisting of San Bernardino Council of Governments (SBCOG) member cities and representatives assisted in identifying charging station deployment opportunities and potential shovel-ready projects. The final plan was to provide associated costs and guidance documents that could be used as guidelines for future ZEV infrastructure and grant opportunities in other regions.
