CSE implemented the SCE Pre-Owned Electric Vehicle program that offered used electric vehicle (EV) incentives to Southern California Edison customers.
The program offered two options for the purchase or lease of a pre-owned EV, a standard rebate of $1,000 or a $4,000 rebate for income-qualified applicants.
As program implementer, CSE processed applications, issued checks and reported on program statistics. CSE also conducted marketing and outreach to increase program participation, working with used car dealers to educate sales staff and with community-based organizations to educate their constituents on rebates and EV benefits.
The program was funded through SCE’s participation in the Low Carbon Fuel Standard Program.

CSE issued more than $67 million in rebates for pre-owned EVs.
CSE delivered more than 29,200 rebates to SCE customers.
